You may also try running the Windows Updates and install all the available updates including the optional driver and firmware updates. The problem still remains, with the Device manager in Windows Pro 8. Upgraded to Windows 8. How satisfied are you with this response? We will be happy to help. Not sure if it is trying to tell me that something plugged into the motherboard is not functioning or what it is that triggers the unknown device.
